This Is Me

Who here has had the best life I'm talking about childhood, teens, young adult, and adulthood into your late 50's?

Looking back, I'm grateful for ever challenge I walked through even if I wasn't as graceful as a swan. I'm writing my life's journey and I'm going to start at the beginning.

I had loving parents they did the best they could, that being said my father was a bit of a drinker and when he drank nothing ever went as planned, he was unpredictable one minute he could be nice to my mom and my siblings and the next abusive verbally and physically, it was like walking on eggshells, so I had a good fear of him I tried to stay out of the way when he was around. One time he came home late after telling my mom he was going to the store for milk and cigarettes 9 hours later he comes home only to start a fight with my mom when she asked him where he had been with our only car, the police were called, and he was taken out in hand cuffs he put up a good fight but in the end the police won thank goodness I could sleep in piece that night.

The next morning was tough because everyone at the bus stop new what had happened, I felt ashamed, and it wasn't even mine to carry I was ashamed of my father and my life.

I'm 58 years young now and I would like to share my story on my blog every week coming out on Tuesday I will share more of my life this is only the beginning .
